Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Anigdha, we understand that plans can change. A student may decide to defer their studies, change their course, choose a different university, or discontinue the application process.

Our refund policy is designed to clearly explain what happens to fees paid for Anigdha’s services in these situations.

1. Applicability

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to payments made directly to Anigdha for our counselling, application assistance, visa guidance or other paid services.

Fees paid directly to a university, government authority, examination body, visa centre, scholarship provider or other third party are governed by that organisation’s own refund policy and are not controlled by Anigdha.

2. Cancellation by the Student

If you wish to cancel a service, please contact us in writing using the contact details provided on our website.

Refund eligibility will depend on:

  • The service or package selected
  • The stage at which the cancellation is requested
  • Whether the agreed services have already been provided
  • Any non-refundable costs already incurred on the student’s behalf

We will review each cancellation request against the applicable service terms.

3. Services Already Delivered

Where Anigdha has already provided part or all of the agreed service, the amount eligible for refund may be reduced accordingly.

This may include work such as:

  • Counselling and profile assessment
  • University or course shortlisting
  • Application preparation
  • Document review
  • Application submission assistance
  • Scholarship guidance
  • Visa guidance
  • Other services specifically included in the selected package

A student should therefore review the applicable service terms before requesting cancellation.

4. University and Application Fees

Payments made directly to universities or other third parties are not part of Anigdha’s service fee unless expressly stated otherwise. Examples may include:

  • University application fees
  • Entrance examination fees
  • IMAT or other examination fees
  • Visa fees
  • Visa-centre service charges
  • Document verification fees
  • Translation charges
  • Courier charges
  • Accommodation or travel payments

Any refund relating to these payments will depend on the relevant third party’s own policies.

5. Admission or Visa Rejection

Anigdha does not guarantee university admission, scholarships or student visa approval.

Therefore, admission rejection or visa refusal does not automatically entitle a student to a refund of Anigdha’s service fees.

Where a particular service package includes a specific refund or conditional-refund commitment, the terms communicated for that package will apply.

6. Scholarships

Scholarship decisions are made by the relevant university, regional authority, government body or other scholarship provider.

Failure to receive a scholarship does not automatically make Anigdha’s counselling or application service refundable.

7. Deferral or Change of Plans

If a student decides to:

  • Defer admission
  • Change universities
  • Change courses
  • Apply for a different intake
  • Change their study destination
  • Stop the application process

the refund, if any, will depend on the services already provided and the terms applicable to the student’s package.

Where possible, Anigdha may allow certain completed services to be carried forward or adjusted, subject to the applicable service terms.

8. Refund Processing

Once a refund has been approved, it will be processed using the applicable payment method and within the timeframe communicated by Anigdha.

The time taken for the amount to appear in the student’s account may also depend on the payment provider or banking institution.

9. Non-Refundable Charges

Any amount specifically identified as non-refundable at the time of purchase will not be refunded, provided such terms were clearly communicated to the student before payment.

Third-party charges are also subject to the refund rules of the relevant third party.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, please contact Anigdha with:

  • Student’s name
  • Registered email address or phone number
  • Service/package purchased
  • Date of payment
  • Payment reference, if applicable
  • Reason for cancellation

We may request additional information where necessary to assess the request.

11. Refund Review

Each refund request will be reviewed based on the service terms agreed at the time of purchase and the work already completed.

If a refund is not approved, we will communicate the reason to the student.

12. Changes to This Policy

Anigdha may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on this page, together with the date on which it was last updated.

13. Contact Us

For questions about cancellations or refunds, please contact Anigdha using the contact information provided on our website.

Senior Counsellor and Writer

At Anigdha, we understand that choosing to study abroad is rarely difficult because students cannot find information. The real challenge is knowing which information is reliable, relevant and applicable to your situation. Our study abroad guides are written around the questions students and parents regularly ask during counselling — from choosing the right country, university and course to understanding admission requirements, eligibility criteria, tuition fees, scholarships, student visas and application processes. Our Writing & Editing Team researches official university and government sources, admission requirements and current study abroad processes before publishing. Important content is reviewed and updated when university policies, visa rules, application procedures or other requirements change. We do not believe there is one study abroad pathway that works for every student. Our goal is to explain your options clearly, highlight the factors that can affect your decision and help you make an informed choice based on your academic background, career goals, budget and preferred study destination.
