If you have decided to study in Italy, you have probably already spent some time looking at universities. The problem starts when you try to turn that research into an actual plan. Which Italian universities should you apply to? Does your bachelor’s degree meet the requirements for the master’s you have chosen? Is the course actually taught in English? What documents will you need? What happens if you are depending on a scholarship? And once you get an admission, what do you need for the visa?
These are the things we help students work through at Anigdha.
We are study abroad consultants focused on helping students plan their education in Italy. We look at your profile first and then work with you on the course, university and application choices that fit it. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. That is part of what counselling is for.
What we help you with:
Career and course counselling
Sometimes the first conversation is not about a university at all. A student may know they want to study in Italy but be unsure about the course. Another may have studied one subject and want to move into another area for their master’s. Someone else may already have a course in mind but want to know if it makes sense with their previous education and career plans.
We start there. We look at your academic background, interests, budget and what you want to do after your studies. Then we discuss the courses that are worth considering.
We don’t think a student should choose a course simply because it is popular among international students.
University selection
Once the course is clearer, we can look at universities in Italy. This is where having someone who understands the Italian higher education system can be useful. There can be several universities offering programmes that look similar on paper, but the admission requirements, course structure, location and costs may be quite different.
We help you compare those differences. If you have already made a shortlist, bring it to us. We can go through it with you. If you are starting from scratch, we can help you build the shortlist.
The objective is not to apply to as many universities as possible. It is to apply to universities that have a reason for being on your list.
Documentation guidance
A surprising amount of application stress comes from documents. Students often have certificates, transcripts and other paperwork ready, but are not sure what a particular university is asking for or whether something needs to be prepared differently.
We help you understand the documentation required for your applications and review what you have before you submit it. Your application should be complete before it is sent. Finding out afterwards that something important was missing is an avoidable problem.
Admission assistance
Once your university choices are finalised, our expert study abroad consultants for Italy help you through the application process. This includes eligibility checks, application preparation, document submission and keeping track of what needs to happen during the admission process.
There can be several things moving at the same time when you apply to more than one university. Having someone keep an eye on those details is useful, particularly when deadlines are different.
Scholarship guidance
For many students, studying in Italy only becomes financially practical if they can secure financial support. Scholarships therefore need to be considered while you are planning your applications, not as an afterthought.
We help you understand the scholarship options that may apply to your situation and what you need to prepare for them.
The important part is eligibility. A scholarship being available does not mean that every student will qualify for it.
Student visa assistance
After admission, visa comes into picture. This is when students start asking very specific questions about financial documents, accommodation, insurance and the paperwork they need to carry.
We guide you through the Italian student visa process and help you prepare the required documentation.
As a reliable study abroad consultant for Italy, we help you prepare properly. We cannot promise that a visa will be approved. That decision belongs to the Italian authorities.
Resume, SOP and LOR guidance
We help you review your Resume, Statement of Purpose and Letters of Recommendation so that your application presents your background and plans clearly.
There is no point filling an SOP with claims that are not supported by the rest of your profile. We would rather have a clear, believable application than one that simply sounds impressive.
Pre-departure support
There is still plenty to arrange after you receive your admission and visa. Accommodation is one example. There are also practical preparations to make before you leave India and begin your studies in Italy.
We continue to guide you through this stage so that you can deal with those arrangements before departure rather than trying to sort everything out at the last minute.
Choosing study abroad consultants is an important decision
There are plenty of study abroad consultancies you can approach, and most websites will tell you that they are the best. I would not make your decision based on that. When you speak to an education consultant, pay attention to the questions they ask you.
Are they interested in your academic background? Do they want to understand why you have chosen Italy? Are they looking at your course choice before giving you university names? Will they tell you if something in your plan does not make sense?
Those conversations tell you much more than a claim about being a top consultancy. You should also ask what is included in the service. Counselling, applications, scholarships, visa guidance and pre-departure support are not necessarily included everywhere, and you should know what you are paying for.
Looking for affordable study abroad consultants?
It is reasonable to compare fees. Studying abroad already involves university fees, living expenses, travel, insurance and other costs, so consultancy fees are another expense to consider. But don’t compare consultants on price alone.
If you only need someone to check a completed application, you may not need an extensive service. If you are still deciding what to study, comparing universities, looking for scholarship options and preparing for a visa, you may need considerably more support. Ask what the fee covers and what you will still have to handle yourself.
That gives you a much better basis for comparison than simply choosing the lowest quote.
Do you need a consultant?
Not every student does. If you have already researched your universities, understand their requirements and are comfortable handling the applications yourself, you can apply independently.
You may want counselling if you are not sure which course is right for you, are struggling to compare universities, have questions about eligibility or scholarships, or simply want someone experienced to go through your plan before you commit.
There is nothing wrong with doing part of the process yourself either. We can support you where you actually need help.
Why Anigdha for Italy?
Our focus is Italy. That matters because the questions students ask are often quite specific. They want to know which course fits their previous education, how different universities compare, what the application involves, what scholarship possibilities they should investigate and what comes next after admission.
We help you work through those questions rather than treating every study abroad application as the same process. And if something does not look right for your profile, we will tell you.
